    Inauguration of the OMBEPO Franco-Namibian wind farm

    This Thursday, April 27, the French Embassy was present in Lüderitz for the inauguration of the wind farm 5MW Ombepo. Ombepo, which means "wind" in Oshiwambo, set up by the French-Namibian renewable energy company InnoSun Energy Holding, in collaboration with the city of Lüderitz.

    World Music Day
    Saturday, June 24th

    JPEG This year we are celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the World Music Day in Namibia with concerts throughout the whole country ! As a tradition on throughout the years, this globally recognized day wishes to celebrate music in all its forms and from all origins. The concerts are free of charge and the participating artists from all walks of life perform for free, just for love of music. The one-day music festival is an excellent opportunity for both upcoming and established artists to showcase their talent to a large and diverse audience. Artists of all genres are invited to perform for the crowds. During the day in Windhoek, a food and crafts market will be held, with activities for children, making it a perfect family outing ! This year’s World Music Day is possible thanks to the generous support of Bank Windhoek and Total Namibia, and in partnership with DB Audio and Fresh FM.
    From 10:00 to 17:00, the venue will be the Palm Tree Park. After 17:00, all the fun is going to be at the FNCC, until very late.

    Every month, the FNCC also organises a whole lot of fun events for children and adults, such as movie nights, quiz nights, exhibitions, art talks or yoga classes. In June, you do not want to miss the "Paint and Wine" evening on June 9th, for creative and wine-loving people, or the coming of the Mandragora circus on the 30th !
