2012 French national day in Windhoek [fr]

As is the case since 2009, the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre hosted the traditional reception given by the French Ambassador on the occasion of the national day of France. It took place on the 16th of July, the 14th of July, the official national day, being a Saturday in 2012.

More than 150 people attended the function among which the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honourable Peya MUSHELENGA (MP), Ambassador Amkongo, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission, Adv John Walters, the Ombudsman of Namibia, Mr. Jakes Jacobs, Secretary of the National Assembly, Mr Paulinus Shilamba, Managing Director of Nampower, Dr Vaino Shivute, CEO of Namwater, Mr Ian Leyenaar CEO of the First National Bank, Mr Haddis Tilahun, Executive Director of United Africa Group, as well as many representatives from NGOs and the civil society (including the Legal Assistance and the Red Cross).
