Competition for the best chef of Namibia: two French at the first two places
The annual competition for the best chef in Namibia took place in Windhoek during the 24th and 25th June. With forty chefs competiting and a Namibian and South African jury, two French were placed at the first two places.
David Thomas, co owner of Lion des Sables with Virgile Meiller in Walvis Bay, was awarded first place.
Yannick Schweighardt, chef of La Bonne Table (the restaurant owned by the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre) came in second.
A great reward for these two leaders and a great success for the French gastronomy.
