French Armed Forces reception at the French Residence
On October, 13th, the Ambassador of France, H.E. Jacqueline Bassa-Mazzoni and the French Defense Attaché, Colonel Jean-François Auran, welcomed at the French Residence representatives of the Namibian Defense Force and of the Namibian Police and the different Defense Attachés accredited to Namibia.
Among the distinguished guests were the former Prime Minister, Hon. Nahas Angula and members of the Namibian Defense Force benefiting of French lessons at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Center (FNCC).
In her speech, the Ambassador of France emphasized the involvement of the French Armed Forces in several operations in Africa and its contribution to peace and security around the world.
She addressed the promising paths for cooperation between France and Namibia in the field of security and defense, through specialized training, invitation to seminars and FNCC lessons of “French in the military field”, strengthening the capacity of Namibia to participate to international operations in French speaking areas.
