French National Day in Namibia

The 14th of July 2014, the French Ambassador in Namibia, Mrs. Jacqueline Bassa-Mazzoni, hosted the French community and the local partners at the French Residence. The event brought together more than 100 persons. Among the guests, were present: Mr. Elia Kaiyamo, Deputy Minister of Intern Affairs and Immigration, HE the Ambassador Kalomoh, Diplomatic advisor of the President on the Republic and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sacky Shanghala, Chairperson of the Law Reform and Development Commission, Mrs. Linda Scott, Deputy Director of Multilateral Affairs Department.

The Ambassador stressed the economic, cultural and politic links that exist between France and Namibia and encouraged the French companies to pursue their investment in the country.

The companies which have contributed to the cost of this event were: Areva, CMA CGM Delmas, Colas, InnoSun, Maurel & Prom, Namdeb, Thalès, Total, Tristone, Veolia, Bureau Veritas and EDF.
