Study visit from the Director of the Namibia Institute for Democracy in Paris from the 11th to the 15th of May 2015 [fr]
Naita Hishoono, Director of the Namibia Institute for Democracy, was invited to France from the 11th to the 15th of May by the PIPA program (Programme d’Invitation des Personnalités d’Avenir) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development. Through several interviews held in Paris and in Bar-le-Duc (Meuse), she was able to exchange with public figures on the themes of citizenship, democracy, decentralization and NGOs in governance.
Ms Hishoono had an interview with M. Bertrand Pancher, Deputy Mayor and President of the Franco-Namibian Friendship Group, as well as with representatives from the Think tank “Décider ensemble”.

A visit to the vocational college Théodore MONOD at Noisy-le Sec was also organized to discuss with students and teachers about education for democracy and citizenship. On similar subjects, Ms Hishoono met with the Director of the Research Institute on Governance (IRG), Ms Séverine Bellina. To discuss of the role NGOs play in governance, Ms Hishoono had a meeting with Clong Volontariat’s coordinator, Ms Fanny Passicos.
