Update Covid-19: Namibia moves to the "orange" country list

Since January 23, 2022, Namibia, as well as 8 southern African countries (South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe) are reclassified from red to orange.

The following conditions apply:

  • No compelling reason required
  • Negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours. The 72 hours are calculated from the time of testing until arrival in Namibia. Travelers can then move freely within the country
  • PCR testing for entry into the country is not required for children under the age of 5
  • Travelers arriving in Namibia should have travel insurance to cover any medical expenses related to Covid-19

It is recommended to check with your airline for boarding requirements.

  • No compelling reason required
  • Negative RT-PCR or antigenic test less than 48 hours before departure
  • Not subject to the 7-day self-isolation
